The Parish of Christ the King was founded in
1956 for the purpose of furthering the Kingdom of God by emphasizing
the teachings of His Son, Jesus Christ - the King.
We are a living and active Roman Catholic faith
community drawn together by the Word of God, prayer and the Eucharist.
These are central to our life together and from them we draw our
sustenance. The Basilian Fathers, and the ordained ministers of
our community, as well as the baptized faithful are intent on using
our God given talents and gifts for the building up, the ongoing
conversion and evangelization of our community.
Relying on the direction of the Holy Spirit,
we strive to extent hospitality and concern for the needy beyond
the parish and to every segment of our community including children,
youth, married and unmarried, families, the retired and the infirm.
Through Word, Sacrament and Service of all kinds,
we hope to make real among us the Kingdom of God so beautifully
described in the preface of our patron Christ the King
"A kingdom
of truth and life.
A kingdom
of holiness and grace.
A
kingdom of justice, love and peace."
